This is a post card of Claude Browning and Charles George with a caption below. The caption reads coast to coast hike started from Allentown, PA Sept 11, 1913 for San Francisco. Does anyone know anything about the coast to coast hike? Were they early boy scouts? Claude H. Browning was born in 1901 so he would have been about 12. Can anyone identify Charles George relationship?

Jacob Leander and Wilmoth Caneer Browning. Jacob is the son of John Moses Browning and the grandson of Jacob Browning the Baptist minister. Jacob was born August 02, 1866 and died in 1940. Wilmoth was born January 09, 1872 and died in 1948.
