"Death Notices From Benton County, Tennessee Newspapers Vol. 4: 1911-1920"

published by
Benton County Genealogical Society
Copyright 2012

The fourth in a series of books to record the deaths of persons gleaned from extant and current Benton County, Tennessee newspapers.  These death notices should provide invaluable genealogical insight for people researching their family roots. Many details are included in these reports which are often left out of the modern obituary, i.e. the cause of death.  The death notices in what we would term "old newspapers" are different than those we think of as current day obituaries.  This volume contains 243 pages with 856+ death notices and 2,385 names individually indexed.  For more information click on  Benton County Genealogical Society
