I, Joseph Dicks do
make and publish this as my last Will and testament, hereby revoking
and making void all others by me at any time, made if any.
1st I devise that my funeral
expense and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible,
out of any money that I may die possessed of or that may come into
the hands of my executor.
I give and bequeath to
Peter Bowlin and Elizabeth Huddleston, wife of Joseph Huddleston
,all the real estate owned by me at the time of my death and especially
the following tract to wit: a tract or parcel of land situated in
the 5th District of Campbell County Tennessee on the waters of the
Clear Fork River bounded as follows: Beginning at Mulberry Corner
of T. L. White land, now owned by Peter Bowlin, on the bank of the
Clear River thence up said river to the divisional line between
me and the Peter Dix farm: thence with said divisional line up to
the Mountain S7-1/2 E 27S poles to chestnut oak, and pointer at
an off set in a cliff on top of the Mountain; thence S 26, W, 20
poles to a stake; thence S 71.W.14 poles to a stake S 49-1/2. W.
20-1/2 poles to a stake, thence @ 27.W14 poles to corner of Wilson
Holt land, thence with the lines on Holt land down the Mountain
to the beginning containing One Hundred and fifty acres; Provided
however that the said Peter Bowlin and Elizabeth Huddeltson shall
in consideration hereof, each pay to Josie Leach, the sum of fifty
dollars, said sum to be paid within one yaer after they shall have
come in possession of said real estate herein specially mentioned.
Lastly , I do hereby appoint
Peter Bowlin as my Executor. In witness whereof I do this my Will
set my hand this 7 day of May 1904.

Campbell County ) Personally appeared in open court, Josiah Smith
and S.M. Thompson subscribing witnesses to the forgoing instrument,
who after first being duly sworn, deposed and said that they were
personally acquainted with Joseph Dicks, the within named Testator,
who caused to be signed and who acknowledged the within instrument
and on the day it bears date to be the Last Will and Testament and
that he was, at the time of signing same, of sound mind and disposing
memory and that the same was signed by the witnesses at the request
of each other, after it had been read over to him, and that the
testator is now dead having died the 4th day of November 1904.
