Looking for info on family of George W. Cannon who was married to Parasettie Burgess. Her grandfather was William Veteto. George was living in Putnam Co, in 1910 Census and listed as widowed. My info that Parasettie died in 1911 must have been wrong. Do you have any ideas on this one?

THOMAS YOUNG LANSDEN AND SUSANNAH (CASSETTY) LANSDEN

Seeking information on the Death Date and burial location of Thomas Young Lansden and Wife Susan (Cassetty) Lansden. Thomas and Susan lived in Putnam County 1860 Census with two children Mary and Sarah. Putnam Co Page 199-99.In 1880 Census Thomas was not listed with his family which at that time lived in Jackson County. I am told that both Thomas Y. and his wife Susan are both buried in Putnam County.I have located Thomas Young Lansden's nephew in Cookville City Cemetery (Dick Latta Lansden) the former Cheif Justice of Tennessee Supreme Court , his wife and daughter , but no other Lansden's. Looking for place of burial, probably in or near Monterey, Putnam Co., TN, of James B. "Jim" and Katherine (FULTON) BUTTRUM or BERTRAM, and their son, Joseph "Joe" BUTTRUM or BERTRAM. Jim was born about 1830 and died before June 1900. Katherine was born about 1843 and died on Oct. 12, 1933. Their son, Joe, was born about 1884. Katherine was living in Joe's home on the 1910 and 1920 Census of Putnam Co., TN so probably died there. Also looking for the burial place and the dates of Katherine's sisters, Margaret (FULTON) BRUMALO, and Erma E. (FULTON) ELLER. Will gladly exchange information.

WARREN, DICKERSON

Has anyone heard of a woman named RUHANEY or RHUHAMA (maybe Phipps/Phelps/Phillips)WARREN 1830-1897 who married J.D. (James) Warren 1833-1916 of Overton County, TN? They are buried in Wayne County, MO. Rhuhama is my great-great grandmother. I have been told all my life that she was a Cherokee Indian, but can't find out anything about her. They were on a wagon train from Overton County, TN going to Noel, MO and further West when several people got sick with "Plains Fever" and died. I am looking for her siblings and parents or anyone connected to this family. Rhuhama and J.D. are listed in the 1860 Putman County, TN census along with Alfred and Caroline Warren, Eli Warren, and Martha Warren and her family. I would like information on the family of my greatgrandmother, Christine McCloud. She married a Thomas Turner and moved to Harriman, I think in the 1920,s. Tom died in a accident at the papermill in about 1946. They had three sons, Benny, Claude, and Herbert. Christine remarryed later to a Manored Gilmore. She passed away about 1971. I am trying to find some information about my grandfather's(James Woodfork WELCH) family. His father was Newton WELCH(Newt depending on census). I have been told his mother was Mary Bell PIPPIN. They had two children: James W WELCH b.Feb 1890 in TN and Mallie Frances WELCH b.Mar 1894 in TX. 1900 census has family living in Cookville,Putnam County. Also 1910 census. By 1920 census only Newton and Mary are listed. JW WELCH had moved to Florida where my father and my aunt were born. I'm trying to trace my grandfather, William Tolley Gattis, b. 1886, d. 9/12/1930. We think he came from TN & there is a Putnam County connection through his 1st marriage. We have a photo from about 1918 of him and 3 brothers, only one named: George. His 1st marriage: Dora Eleanor Ramsey, div. in 1908. A daughter from this marriage: Alline Gattis Holloway, b. 9/12/1904 We know Alline lived at some point in Monterey, Putnam County, TN. He married my grandmother, Annie Mae Pettit, in Monroe, LA, 9/28/1918. Can anyone help me trace my Gattis ancestors? Looking for information on James Crockett PRICE and Dora Bell MCBRIDE who lived in Cookeville TN. Dora Bell (McBride) PRICE was born in Cookeville TN. She was born in 1881 to Joseph & Augustus MCBRIDE. I am trying to find more information on my great grandfather, Bryon Hayes He was born in Putnam County, Ill. in 1839-40 . BRYAN/BRYANT, MARLOW

Looking for my ggg grandmother Elizabeth. We are unsure of her maiden name spelling. Father may have been William OR Robert BRYANT. Mother may have been a CALHOUN. Elizabeth was born around 1816, and married Wilson Williamson Marlow around 1834-36. They had four children: Achsa (1836), James Robert (1838), Pleasant (1841) and Bethel (1843). She died young around the age of 25-27 shorthly after the birth of her last child. I am a descendent of Bethel. Bethel is a strange name. I once saw a William Bethel MARLOW and wondered if my gg grandfather was named after a this person. We believe that she and Wilson lived in Tennesse when first married and then moved to St. Claire Missouri. She died somewhere in Missouri,near St. Claire I would think. I have reached a dead end on establishing a pedigree for my g-g-grandfather, Benjamin Abraham FORD, (b. 3 JAN 1821 - d. 14 DEC 1890).
