MCBROOM, PARKINSON

Felix Payton MCBROOM md Mary PARKINSON abt 1890. They lived in Cookeville, Putnam Co, TN in 1892 where their dau Roxie Ann was b 3 Nov 1892. Roxie md first John DANIELS and had eleven ch. Then she md Grover Cleveland BAGBY and had one dau. Roxie d 29 Jun 1952 of a stroke at Ponder, MO, she is bur at Ponder. Don't know Roxie's siblings, or Felix's siblings. PRICE

Looking for information on Company D, 84 Tennessee Infantry. (Confederate) My ancestor Lorenza D. Price enlisted at McMinnville on Dec. 15, 1862 by S. S. Stanton for 3 years and was deceased 28 Feby 1863. Does anyone know of any fighting by this unit during this timeframe? Putnam County, Tn. Confederate Units lists the 84th infantry Com.D became the 28th Inf. company H, on March 8, 1863, about a week after my ancestor died.

GENTRY, SHANKS, BOCKMAN

Am looking for more info on Meredith J. (Jurdan or Jordan) GENTRY, 1823-97, in I think Putnam County. Married Fannie Frances SHANKS in 1848. Farmer, fought in Civil War. Also info on their son, Robert Simon GENTRY, 1849-1925. Married twice, to Maudie BOCKMAN in 1878 and Lucy Franklin in 1894. Had 15 children, including (with Maudie) my grandfather Robert Napoleon Gentry, 1890-1964, who moved to Calif. after WWI. Have "old" info on Nicholas, Samuel, etc., but need more on 19th and 20th century. Thanks!!

does anyone in putnam county have any info on Shanks, simon, wife unknown--believe our cherokee blood came in on this line. PUTTY, MAHAN, STEWART

Looking for the Putty family in Putnam Co. By the 1900 Census, Fleland C. (aka Claude Freeman) Putty and his sister Miniy (sp?) were living with their uncle James Maxwell. James Maxwell's wife Sanorah (Mahan) was sister to Samantha (Mahan) the Putty children's mother and wife of Hyes (?) Putty. Samantha died in childbirth when Fleland Claude was born (1891-1893) and Hyes had also passed away before 1900. Any info on any of these families would be greatly appreciated, but the Puttys seem to be the most elusive!
