Attempting to trace the ancestry of William B. Gordon born about 1801 in North Carolina. Married Margaret___?____ who was born about 1804 in Tennessee and died after 1880 in Putnam Co., TN. William Gordon was in Overton Co., TN by 1850 and Putnam Co. sometime thereafter where he died around 1870. Had known daughters, Elliner who married Hardin Green and Jane who married William S. Gilliam. Would like to receive any information on this William Gordon.

Jefferson D. Dyer was my great-great grandfather. His daugther married Bird Lassiter Jones the father of my paternal grandmother, Leatha Matilda Jones. He was married to Martha Burton and he enlisted in the Federal Army in the Federal Army during the Civil War. He was in the same unit as 2 of my great-great uncles, Prettyman and Alfred Moore Jones. I have not been able to find any record of him after the war. Records I have found do not indicate anyone by that name being killed. He apparently never returned to DeKalb even though his unit was principally on patrol duty in Middle Tennessee. I am at a loss as to his destiny. Can you help me?

Richard abd Abigale were living in Dekalb County in the 1850 census of TN (later became Putnam County). Need info on his daughter Angeline who had a son, Robert Herrin,while unmarried. My line is from Robert Herrin (1831-1905) TN and Mary Ann Whitefield. They were married in White County, TN,and lived in Dekalb and Putnam Counties.
