Alamo Tennessee Monday June 3rd 1888

To the worshipful county Court of Crockett County Tennessee,

We the commissioners appointed by your court at the May Term 1888 to lay off and set apart to MRS. JANE THOMAS widow of J. J. THOMAS decd. one years support… make their following report

One shot gun, one sewing machine, 2 feather beds bedsteads 2 matresses or straw beds, pillows bolsters sheets quilts and comforts sufficient for each.

Dining table & table cloths with all the table fixtures pertaining.

Safe and all the table ware contained milk vessels &c;

One cook stove and all of the cook utencils meal sive &c.;

One Byble hymn book and other books with the book case one small table 1 dozen chairs 1 Beauro 1 press or cupboard 1 Bowl and pitcher 1 wash Kettle 2 wash tubs 1 churn 1 looking glass 1 chop axe one wheel loom and gear. 600 lbs Bacon all the poltry and fowls of every kind 2 cows & calves of choice all the sheep 1 sewing machine all the molasses on hand all the bees & bee stands 100 lbs Soap 100 lbs lard all the flour on hand 1 Blb salt 2 pr and Irons 1 clock Two (2) mules young Black ones 1 two Horse waggon and harness one mans saddle one womans saddle 2 Bridles 50 Blbs corn 1000 bundles of fodder 1 stack of the hay in the barn 2 plows & gear 2 hoes and 1 Gaub? hoe? 1 cut knife 1 cradle 1 fork and 1 rake 2 Iron wedges 10 head of hogs of choice 100 lbs sugar 50 lbs coffee 1 lot of boards 1 lot of lumber on hand and we direct and set apart Fifty dollars in cash to be paid said widow JANE THOMAS out of the money of said estate in the hands of JAMES THOMAS the Admst. of said estate so that she may buy such things as are not on hand.

All of which is respectfully submitted and signed as upon oath

On motion J. A. THOMAS was this day appointed administrator of the estate of J. J. THOMAS deceased.

Thereupon the said J. A. THOMAS came into open court and entered into bond in the sum of One Thousand dollars with J. W. THOMAS and J. M. BLEDSOE as his securities…
