The undersigned freeholders usconnected with the parties and entirely disinterested having been appointed at the lat Term of your Court to lay off and set apart to MRS. V. C. BURROW Homestead and Dower, out of the real estate of P. N. BURROW decd, husband, being satisfied that the lands of said estate is not worth exceeding one thousand dollars we do hereby assign to MRS. BURROW for Homestead the entire tract, upon which she now lives and which P. N. BURROW was living at the time of his death and is described in deed as follows [description of land in the 4th Civil District, bounded by M. M. LAYMAN, MRS. SCREWS, TATUM and DR. FLEMMING] containing by estimation, 130 acres, this includes all lands owned by the deceased P. N. BURROW…

[Phillip Nicolas Burrow, the son of Phillip Burrow and Rosie Ann Nipper, was born 13 Mar 1852, died 20 Dec 1883, and is buried in the Center Cemetery. His wife was Mrs. Viola C. Burrow]

BURROW, the son of JAMES BURROW and ELIZABETH (BETSY) WEATHERS, was born 6 Nov 1804 in NC, died 17 Dec 1871 in Gibson Co, TN, and is buried in the Providence Cemetery, Crockett Co., TN. He married about 1823 to MARY A. __, who was born 3 Mar 1805 in TN, died 18 Oct 1882, and is also buried in the Providence Cemetery.
