Know all men by these presents that we, R.M. Midgett and wife, Julia Midgett, for and in consideration of seven hundred and fifty ($750.00) dollars cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have this day bargained and sold and do by these presents hereby transfer and convey unto W.M. Baker the following described tract or parcel of land lying, situated and being in the 6th civil district of Lauderdale County, Tennessee and thus bounded and described: beginning at a stake in the south boundary line of a 128 acre tract sold by the chancery court of Lauderdale County in the cause of R.W. Sutton and wife against Francis Parker, et al, containing 33 1/3 acres, be the same more or less. this is the same tract of land that was conveyed to Julia Midgett by E.F. Wilson and wife by deed of date 31st day of December 1904, said deed being recorded in the registers office at Ripley, Tennessee in Deed Book “UU”, page 457 to which reference is here made for a full and complete description of the same. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands on this the 16th day of November 1905.

This day came R.M. Midyett with H.D. Folts and C.W. Scott as his sureties who entered into bonds in the penal sum of one hundred dollars, payable to the state of (bottom line is missing)___ Ray and Parthenia Ray, minor children of Lonnie Ray. Said parties having acknowledged their signatures to said bond in open court and the same being approved by the court, it was ordered that letters of guardianship issue to the said R.M. Midyett, which was accordingly done. (this court proceeding was dated September 9, 1911.)

Know all men by these presents that we, J.M. Midgett, a single man, R.M. Midgett and wife, Mrs. Julia Midgett, and Mrs. M.A. Duncan, for and in consideration of $1600.00, cash in hand paid, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have this day bargained and sold and do by these presents hereby transfer and convey unto L.L. Beard the following described tract of land lying, situated and being in the 16th civil district of Lauderdale County, Tennessee, and bounded and described as follows: the north end of a certain tract of about 38 acres, being twenty acres cut off of the north end of a tract of land conveyed by L.L. Hinton to J.M. Midgett and R.M. Midgett on January 24, 1910 by deed recorded in Deed Book “B-3”, page 79-80 in the register’s office of Lauderdale County, Tenn., to which reference is here made and which tract of about 38 acres from which the tract of 20 acres herein conveyed is taken from, the north end is bounded and described as follows: (description follows) In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names on this the 8th day of September 1919.

Midyett, for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars in cash heretofore paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have this day bargained and sold and do by these presents sell and convey unto J.M. Midyett, to him, his heirs and assigns, my entire interest in the following described tract of land situated, lying and being in the 16th civil district of Lauderdale County, Tenn., and bounded and described as follows, to wit: (description follows). To have and to hold my entire said interest in the above described tract of land to the said J.M. Midyett, to him, his heirs and assigns, in fee simple. I sell, transfer and quit claim to him all my right title, claim and interest in the above described tract of land. I, Julia Midyett, wife of R.M. Midyett, join in this deed and convey all right title, claim and interest I have in said land, including the homestead and dower right. This November 17th, 1919.

Know all men by these presents that we, R.M. Midyett & wife, for value received in exchange for a house and lot in the 14th civil district of Lauderdale County, Tenn. we do sell and convey unto I.W. Pace & wife, Emma C. Pace, a parcel of land lying and being in the 14th civil district of Lauderdale Co., Tn. and is bounded and described as follows: to wit. beginning at a stake in the Ripley and Hales Point Road in a hollow; thence down said hollow southwesterly to D.J. Garrett’s northwest corner 58 poles and 2 feet to a stake in the said branch; thence east 8 poles and 10 feet to a hickory tree in a branch; thence northeasterly 8 poles to a stake in the branch; thence up said hollow 17 poles and 2 feet to Frank Lott’s west boundary line; thence northerly with Frank Lott’s west line 9 poles and 6 feet to a stake in Ripley and Hales Point Road; thence northwesterly with said road 35 poles to the beginning, containing 8 1/2 acres, more or less. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands on this 30th day of September 1921.
