My father was a Captain (Commanding officer of Co,E,117th Infantry Rgt of the 30th Inf. Division and received the following for his heroic action on the front - the Silver Star, the Purple Heart and the British Military Cross.
He died 17 Aug 1960 while I served in Korea.
