Alexander and MAE McCall lived with their family in this home for more than
50 years. It was a red, cedar two-story log house with a double porch and
dog-trot. This home, later covered with clap-board, stood until 1981 when
it burned to the ground. The family cemetery is located down the hill, at
the boiling springs and is on private property. Next door in the 1800's,
there stood another house (almost identical) which was the home of MAE's
brother, John Barclay Armstrong, and his family. Both of these are now
lost to present and future generations.
