State of Tennessee Hardin County By virtue of the Occupant Law of 1840 Gabriel Eads Enters 145 acres of Land on the waters of Smiths fork of Indian Creek Range 12th & Section 4th. Beginning at an Elm and Sugar Tree the Southeast corner of Entry No 227 in the name of James Hardin for 160 acres Running thence South 203 poles thence West 113 + 1/3 poles thence North 203 poles thence East 113 + 1/3 poles to the Beginning located 23rd January 1841. State of Tennessee Hardin County By virtue and under the Pensions of the Occupant Law of 1836 William Sweeny Enters 80 (?) acres of Land on the waters of white oak Range 6th Section 5th Beginning at a white oak and poplar which stands 9—poles north of the southeast corner of an Entry No. 1254 in the name of J. Joy running thence East 82 poles South 158 poles & and West and north for complement Located 9th November 1837.
