She was married to a John Richard BROWN in abt 1843 and had one son Isaac Newton BROWN. She then married John R. THOMAS in Benton Co in 1851. This couple goes off to Phelps Co MO and is listed there in 1870. In Phleps Co MO to in 1870 is George BIRDWELL with his wife and family and his sister Margaret. I have not been able to find Elizabeth BIRDWELL on the 1850 census or on the 1860 census with John THOMAS and their three oldest children William, George W., Thomas J. and Newton BROWN. Newton BROWN marries in Phelps Co MO in 1861. He is killed during the Civil War. I need help to prove that Elizabeth BIRDWELL is a daughter of Robert BIRDWELL. She was born in TN in Oct 1827. In 1830 there is a Robert BIRDWELL listed in Jackson Co TN but is it the right Robert I do not know. Any help with this would be most welcome.
