Higgins Chapel Cemetery is located on Upper Higgins Creek Road in Flag Pond, Unicoi Co., Tennessee.  Proceed on I-26 towards Asheville, NC and take Exit 5, Flag Pond Road.   At the end of the ramp, make a left which crosses over the highway.  At the stop sign make a right onto Higgins Creek Rd. [there's a sign for Higgins Chapel] and proceed for about a mile on the winding rd.  You will see Higgins Chapel [a red brick church] on the right side at the fork.  Proceed on the left side for 2/10 mile and shortly thereafter, make a right onto a gravel road.  The cemetery is on the right.  Parking is available and cemetery is in good condition. Contact me for corrections, mistakes or additions. This is an active cemetery and this website is updated frequently. The enumeration begins at the top of the hill working downward.  The cemetery was also known as Flag Pond Cemetery during the early part of the 1900s.
