Know all men by these present that I George GRISHAM of the County of Jonson and State of Illinois have made constituted and appointed and by these present do make constitute and appoint Tandy J. JOHNSON of the same County and State aforesaid my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name and for my use to _ for recover and receive all such sum and sums of money, debts goods wares or other demands whatsoever which are or shall be due owing payable and belonging to me by any manner ro means whatsoever and Especially from Robert DORRIS Guardian of the minor heirs of Benjamin GRISHAM decd and who was the Administrator of said Benjamin GRISHAM Decd of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee. Giving and Granting unto my said attorney by these _ into full powers and authority and about the promises to have use and take all Lawful ways and _ in my name for the purpose _ and upon the receipt of such debts due or sums of money acquittances or other sufficient discharge for me and in my name to make and give and _ generally to do all other acts and things in the Law whatsoever Needful and necessary to be done in and about the premises for me and in my name to do Execute and perform as fully and to all intents and purposes as I may self might or could do if personally present and attorneys one or more under him for the purpose is aforesaid to make constitute and _ at pleasure to revoke hereby ratify _ and confirming all and whatsoever my said Attorney shall Lawfully do in and about the premises by virtue here of in witness I have here unto set my and seal this Tenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand Eighty hundred and forty.
