They have two sons and two daughters: Henry, Mary, Louisa and Milton W. Mr. Chenault first settled on what is known as the Sharpe farm, and in 1883 moved to the old homestead farm, where he owns 250 acres of valuable land, finely improved, and containing a handsome brick residence, situated ten miles northeast of Gallatin in a fine agricultural section, and is one of the most desirable homes in Sumner County. He is a man of fine business capacity and a progressive farmer, being well posted in the practical lessons of agriculture and stock raising, and applies modern machinery to his farming operatings. He gives a generous support to all charitable and religious enterprises. Politically, Mr. Chenault is a Democrat, casting his first presidential vote for Horace Greeley in 1872.
