Hammons, Eugene Scott, Robert Thompson, J.D. Hunt, Sybil Pinkston, Calvin
Sanders, and Marie (Plumlee) Hughes.

Other teachers were Bartie Moore, Principal, Paul Jennings and Miss Nancy Moore.

The building was burned in 1932; the 1932-33 school year was taught in a
church in the community which was used by all denominations. A new building
was finished for the 1933-34 school year, and this building was demolished
and a new building built in 1954. The name was changed to South Carthage
and after operating for several years it was closed and the building presently
is used for a community center.
