The "new" schoolhouse was built on Hickman Hill, overlooking the town of
Number 8 is Velma Agee - 1st Grade.
Hickman, Smith County, Tennessee and opened in the fall of about 1925. I'm
not sure of the exact year that the school was closed, but I would guess
around 1958. The schoolhouse has been torn down, and a subdivision is now
on the property where the school and playground once were. This 1952 picture
is of the First thru Fourth Grade Classes.
