Holleman, Sina Ann Canter 1847 - 1939

MRS. SINA HOLLEMAN

Died at age of 92.

Funeral services for Mrs. SINA ANN HOLLEMAN, wife of the late [T. J.] HOLLEMAN, who died Monday at the age of 92 years, were conducted Tuesday at the Hickory Grove Methodist Church by the Rev J. L. SMOTHERMAN assisted by the Rev CLAIR SUDDARTH, pastor of the church. Burial was in the Holleman Cemetery at Kempville. Mrs. Holleman had been active until only a short time before her death. She was born and reared in Smith County, where she had spent her entire life. She was married to Mr. Holleman in 1878.

Eight children were born to them, six of whom survive. The survivors: ELIJAH, MACK, SAM, MRS. I N CARDWELL, MRS. HENRY HARDCASTLE, MRS. VIRGIL GRIGG. Thirty-nine grandchildren; a half-sister, MRS MINNIE KEMP, and two half-brothers, LEVY and MICH CA[N]TER*, also survive. Mrs Holleman was highly respected as a strong Christian woman, and commanded the love and respect of all who knew her. She joined the Hickory Grove Methodist Church when she was fourteen years of age, and was one of its most faithful members. She was affectionately known as "Aunt Sina" and was ---
