Green, Jessie Raymond 1915-1991

Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Green, age seventy-six, of Carthage Village, were conducted Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home with Eld. Lonnie Mozingo and Eld. Jeff Patterson officiating. Burial was in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Green died Tuesday afternoon, March 5, 1991, at Carthage General Hospital. Born in Clay County, he was the Son of the late Sidney and Clorie Lankford Green and was a long Time Farmer of the Buffalo Community. He and his wife, Margie Kemp Green, Owned & Operated the Walton Hotel and Dining Room in Carthage in the late seventies. Mr. Green was a member of the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.

On February 28, 1981, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Green Anderson. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Pat Norris of Carthage, Barbara Green Sircy of Nashville, Don Green of Mt. Juliet; sister, Rosie Mai Shoulders; two brothers, Aubrey Green and Ervin D. Green both of Lafayette; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Sanderson Funeral Home of Carthage, Directors.
