This indenture made this 28th May in the year of Our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and thirty six between D. C. Ward, Will B. Moore
& Ar Moore of the County of Smith& State Tennessee one part & Mary
Ann Elizabeth McCall of the other part and county state of afforsaid (sic)
witnesseth that the said D. C. Ward, W. B. Moore & Ar Moore for and in
consideration of the sum of seventy four dollars to them in hand paid the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath here joined, granted, sold and confirmed
and by these presents do bargain, grant, sell and convey unto the said Mary Ann
Elizabeth McCall, her heirs and assigns forever two lots adjoining the town of
Rome known as Lots No. 7 and No. 10.
Lot No. 7 beginning at the north west corner of Lot No. 6 running South
36 yds 2 feet 10 inches 30/33 of an inch to a stake, thence North 80 (degrees)
West 33 yds to a stake, thence North 36 yds 2 feet 10 inches 30/33 of inch to a
stake, thence North 80 (degrees) East 33 yds to the beginning containing one
fourth of an acre. Lot No. 10 beginning
at the South most corner of Lot No. 9 running 36 yds 2 feet 10 inches 30/33 of
inch to a stake, thence North 80 (degrees) East 33 yds to a stake, thence North
36 yds 2 feet 10 inches 30/33 of inch to a stake, thence South 80 (degrees)
West 33 yds to the beginning containing one fourth of an acre. To have and to hold the aforesaid lots with
all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to her the said M A E
McCall her heirs and assigns forever and all the aforesaid D. C. Ward, W. B.
Moore & Ar Moore will warrant and defend the right and title of the above
named lots unto her the said Mary Ann Elizabeth McCall her heirs and assigns from
the claim or claims of all other persons whosoever. In testimony where of which hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this day and date above
written delivered in the presents of A. L. Bains, J. D. Grissum
