ROBERTS CEMETERY

Roberts Cemetery and Whitwell Chapel, April 1999

The Roberts Cemetery lies in the western part of the Marsh Creek Valley near where the creek flows into Kentucky Lake. In 1998 the cemetery was the best maintained of all the cemeteries in the area. It is moderately old. There is an area in the center where only shallow sunken spots indicate graves, and a number of graves just north of this open spot are marked only with fieldstones. This area lies at the head of the access road. Leo and David Donahue recorded this cemetery on December 26, 1988. David Donahue updated Roberts Cemetery April 16, 1999 and checked and updated it August 30, 2004.
