FORGOTTEN CEMETERIES
OF PERRY COUNTY

Perry County has over two hundred cemeteries. Some of them are large but the majority are small family plots. As the older members of the family dies and the younger members move away, the family plot becomes overgrown and forgotten. Sometimes the land where the cemetery is located is sold and the new owners put the land to different uses. Several cemeteries have been relocated. Cemetery Records are one way of keeping the memory of our ancestors alive.
