COTTON GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY

            This cemetery is located at Cotton Grove Baptist Church at the intersection of Cotton Grove Road and Liberty Road. It is well maintained. As the cemetery clearly predates the 1840s when many West Tennessee churches were formed (see Anna Boon), it probably dates to the 1820s. Like most early- to mid-nineteenth century cemeteries still in use, fieldstones marking most early burials have been removed. Probably less than half of all burials are marked.
