OLD CLOVER CREEK CEMETERY

Located about 2 miles south of the present Clover Creek Baptist Church in Medon on Highway 18. Situated at the end of a fieldroad .1 mile south of Jared Lane about .2 mile west of Highway 18. This was the former location of Clover Creek Baptist Church which was organized in 1826 and is actually located in Hardeman County about .2 mile south of the border of that county and Madison County. The congregation moved into Medon in 1914. Area blacks buried their dead on the north side of this mostly white cemetery. There are numerous unmarked graves in this part of the cemetery.
