HARMON CEMETERY

Located in north-central Henderson County. Situated on the west side of Natchez Trace Road about 4.5 miles north of court square in Lexington. Originally the family burial ground of John Harmon (sometimes spelled Harman) (1780-1851) and his white relatives and neighbors. The black section is evidently the adjoining wire-fenced area on the north side of the cemetery, barren of tombstones. Some concrete blocks may mark graves. Death certificates indicate the names of at least two black persons buried here.

MARY SOLER, died Dec. 31, 1921, aged 48. Father: Tom Harmon. Mother: Hexie Harmon
MARY BOSWELL, died January 8, 1921, aged 60
