SMITH-HART CEMETERY

Located in north Henderson County. About 2.8 miles west of the juncture of Hugh McCullough and Rue Hamner Roads; approach about .1 mile south of Road, this portion of the road also being called Hart Cemetery Rd.

NOTE: Mr. Thomas Rufus McCullough (born July 1914), life-long resident of this area told the present compiler that also buried here are Texie White and Harrison White. Also, that his aunt, Miss Martha White, is buried in an unmarked grave in the nearby White family graveyard, this having been a white family.

There are many unmarked graves in the Smith-Hart Cemetery; some graves are "marked" by sandstones.

Those names and dates listed in the first volume of the HENDERSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE CEMETERY INSCRIPTIONS (1976) that the present compiler could not find in this cemetery, probably having been funeral home markers now lost or missing information panels:
