MIDDLEFORK CEMETERY

Middlefork Cemetery is an antebellum cemetery located at Middlefork Primitive Baptist Church om Middlefork Road about 1½ miles south of State Highway 2000. The cemetery is maintained very well. It is impossible to estimate the number of unmarked burials or the age of the cemetery. Burials extend west beyond the maintained area.

David Donahue recorded Middlefork Cemetery April 24, 2004. Lewis Jones and Sue Nell Overman recorded Middlefork Cemetery circa 1970 and updated it to circa 1975. Their record appears in Henderson County, Tennessee Cemetery Inscriptions (R. H. Harris, Memphis, 1976), Vol. 2, pp. 321-326. Their work is noted as "Jones and Overman" in the notes below. Glenda Parchman recorded Middlefork Cemetery May 29, 1998. Her record of the cemetery is annotated. Click here for Glenda Parchman's annotation.
