JOWERS CEMETERY
Jowers is a well-maintained family cemetery located on the west side of Alberton Road about 1½ miles north of the Oak Grove Cemetery. Four graves are marked but not identified, and there are about three depressions suggesting unmarked graves.
David Dobahue recorded this cemetery April 16, 1998 and checked it in January 2002. An earlier record of this cemetery was Anita Webb, Pam Brady, and Sammie Lewis circa 1976. Their record appears Henderson County, Tennessee Cemetery Inscriptions (Memphis, R. H. Harris, 1976), Vol. II, pp. 251-251. This earlier work is referred to as "Webb et al." in the notes below.
