McCLANAHAN CEMETERY

Located in back of the Charles Butler home in the Mt. Carmel community, in open hog lot. It is on the road to the Brownsport furnace.

About 30 unmarked graves.

These graves are marked with sandstone rocks but none with names. Joe Bill Sims served as our guide — he is 42 years of age and can recall when a very small boy going to a funeral there. The funeral he attended was that of John McClanahan. Also interviewed Charles Butler and he concurred with Mr. Sims' story.

This cemetery was indexed on June 22, 1976 by Margarett Alexander and Blanche Tuten.
