LUTON CEMETERY

Located on Highway 69S from Decaturville, turn to go to the Yarbro Community, turn to left at large white 2 story white house on a black top road. Pass very small creek, stop at gate and take road to right (dirt road). It is a 15 minute walk. This cemetery was indexed by Margarett Alexander on April 5, 1976. Thanks to Dwight Patterson for helping me find this graveyard. At this time Alexander noted "13 unmarked graves (4 are box graves)." On February 22, 1981, this graveyard was revisited by Gail Story, Jill Story, Sarah Vise, and Margarett Alexander. With much hard labor [they] were able to gather . . . information by rubbing on some of the tombstones that were not read previously. They recorded 3 of the 4 box graves previously unrecorded.
