LIBERTY CEMETERY

            This cemetery is located on Liberty Road in the Liberty Community south of Scotts Hill. The core of the cemetery is very old and the cemetery is nearly full. There are probably over 125 graves either unmarked or marked with plain concrete slabs.

            David Donahue recorded this cemetery December 27, 1995 and checked and updated it January 11, 2002. The cemetery was recorded by Dorris Scott and Blanche Tuten on May 4, 1976. Their record appears in Decatur County, Tennessee Cemetery Records by the Captain Nathaniel A. Wesson Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Parsons, Tennessee, 1984, pp. 304-313.
