HENDRIX CEMETERY
(Hill Cemetery Road)

This cemetery is called Hendrix Cemetery on the U.S.G.S. quadrangle map for the area and in the 1984 UDC cemetery book. However, its name in common use may be changing. The access drive is called Hill Cemetery Road on current road maps. Hill Cemetery Road is a gravel road running east from Cedar Hill Road, about a half mile north of the intersection of Cedar Hill Road and Evanstown Road. The cemetery is mown. In 2003 eleven graves were marked with fieldstones (mostly in pairs), and three graves had temporary marker plates with no information.

David Donahue recorded Hendrix Cemetery on December 27, 1992 and checked and updated it in November 2003. Margarett Alexander and Blanche Tuten recorded Hendrix Cemetery on April 8, 1978. Their record appears in Decatur County, Tennessee Cemetery Records produced by the Nathaniel A. Wesson Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Parsons, Tennessee, 1984, pp. 256-257. Alexander and Tuten noted 15 unmarked graves.
