CROSSROADS CEMETERY
Crossroads is a moderately large cemetery on state highway 69 about 3 miles north of Parsons. It is indicated at Crossroads Church on the U.S.G.S. Jeanette quadrangle (1986). The cemetery is well maintained. Topography causes the cemetery to appear split into two parts, with an older section to the north and a new section to the south, separated by a low-lying area.
David Donahue recorded this cemetery in May1991, updated it on August 7, 1997 and March 24, 2001; and checked and updated it December 22, 2003. Doris Scott and Blanche Tuten recorded Crossroads Cemetery on March 25, 1977. Their record appears in Decatur County, Tennessee Cemetery Records published by the Captain Nathaniel A. Wesson Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Parsons, Tennessee, 1984, pp. 151-159. Reference is made to this work where appropriate. Scott and Tuten noted "at least 46 unmarked graves."
