WILLIAM "Billy" TURNER born in Virginia, Feb. 5, 1800; son of Hardin and Sallie Turner, died Lauderdale Co., Tenn., Nov. 14, 1889; moved with parents to Ky. in 1811, then in 1826 to west Tenn.; married Harriet Pennick; 6 children, one now living, Rev. Hardin J. Turner, Memphis Methodist Conference.

DOROTHY ANN HOWERTON, nee St. John, born Essex Co., Virginia, May 9, 1824; moved with widowed mother to Montgomery Co., Tenn. where she married C. L. Howerton, Nov. 17, 1846; moved to Nashville, Tenn.; member of Tulip Street Methodist Church; died Dec. 3, 1889; one son, 3 daus.

SALLIE LYLE, nee McCorkle, born March 14, 1814; died Nov. 12, 1889; married James Lyle, farmer of Montgomery Co., Tenn.; 12 children, 5 surviving her.

SALLIE THOMPSON, nee Dodson, born Maury Co., Tenn., Feb. 11, 1810; married C. W. Thompson, Sept. 29, 1831; moved from Maury Co. to Wayne Co., Tenn. in 1840; died Oct. 30, 1889; 9 children.

WILLIAM E. LEONARD died Lewisburg, West Virginia, Nov. 23, 1889; teller in Bank of Lewisburg which business memorialized him for his faithful service to the bank, dated Nov. 27, 1889.

LUCINDA HENDRICKS daughter of John Hendricks died in 1889.

STERLING BROWN PEACH born near Hillsboro, Tenn., Oct. 23, 1823; died Nov. 30, 1889; joined Methodist Church in 1849; married (1) Susan H. Eads (died March 28, 1851), Sept. 28, 1848; 2 children; (2) Jeanette Gibson, July 11, 1852; 5 children.

FRANCES ELIZABETH GODWIN daughter of Richard and Sarah Wright, born Maury Co., Tenn., March 29, 1824; married (1) Joseph Fox; (2) Kinchen Godwin; 5 children; died Dec. 2, 1889.

SARAH ESTHER ALLISON daughter of Rev. G. O. and Mrs. J. Allison, died recently aged 1 year, 8 months and 27 days old.

SARAH ANN DAILEY born McMinn Co., Tenn. May 25, 1831; died Rome, Ga., Nov. 13, 1889; married James G. Dailey when 19 years old; surviving was one grandson.

JOSEPH W. SLEE born Long Green, Hartford Co., Md., Dec. 12, 1807; died near Collierville, Tenn., Nov. 28, 1889; son of the Rev. Joseph Slee, Methodist preacher; served in Mexican War from Ohio where he was then living.

E. B. LOVE daughter of the Rev. Edmund Jones, born near Murfreesboro, Tenn., Jan. 31, 1817; married Dr. William K. Love, March 17, 1840; died December 5, 1889.

EUGENE B. GRIFFIN oldest son of John F. and Susan E. Griffin, born Shelby Co., Tenn., Feb. 25, 1868; died Brunswick, Tenn., Dec. 18, 1889 from injuries; his right hand and arm were caught in the gin-saws of his father's cotton gin, rendering fatal injury.

One son, the Rev. James M. L. Hoyle, Mo. Meth. Conference; another, A. M. Hoyle in the local Methodist ministry.
