OBITUARIES.

Others besides the Editor have need of patience in the matter of notices of the dead. Just think a moment. There are now in hand one hundred obituaries, and only room in the paper for about twenty a week, and not room for that number if they happen to be long ones. This necessarily keeps us behind from four to five weeks in printing them. They are registered as received, and published in their order. Sometimes a mistake is made, and one goes in too soon, and one too late. The writers see the need of patience. The Editor's need of patience comes in all around, and no one not cognizant of all the facts knows how to sympathize with him.
