Irby Orr

This picture was taken about 1885 on Main Street in Sweetwater. It was published in the Sweetwater newspaper. Irby was born in 1821 and died in 1904 in Sweetwater. He was listed as a Wagoneer in the 1880 census. He moved to Sweetwater with his family from Virginia about 1823 at the age of 2. His Father was James Orr and his mother was Nancy Orr. She is buried in Browder Cemetary and her grave is still clear and visible. She was born in Virginia in 1788 and died in 1863.
