The body of Dave BOULTON, 53, 0f Water Valley, Ky., was recovered Sunday afternoon from near freezing waters of the Mississippi River, in which he drowned Wednesday near Island 26, across the river from Shoaf's Landing, Ashport. BOULTON, a river worker for 35 years, disappeared Wednesday morning from the Patton-Tully tugboat out of New Madrid, Mo. He was not wearing a life jacket. Ripley Funeral Home sent the body to Whitnell Funeral Home in Fulton, Ky., near Water Valley. BOULTON resided in Obion County before he moved to Water Valley about 12 years ago. He leaves his wife, Hattie Woodard BOULTON, and a son, Larry BOULTON, 19, of Water Valley.

Bernice JONES, 2-year-old daughter of Mrs. Helen Jones, of Halls, was killed about 4 p.m. last Thursday when a car struck a bridge railing on Highway 88 about 2 miles west of Halls. The mother, 22, suffered minoe injuries. Her sister, Alice Madison, 18, of Halls, owener of the car was seriously injured. She is in Lauderdale County Hospital. Mrs. Betty BLAKELY and her daughter, of Route 1, Halls, also in the car, were unhurt.

Mrs. Dessa KLUTTS, widow of the late Will KLUTTS, of Ripley, died Monday in Sarasota, where she had resided with her sister Maude, since her husband's death. Services and cremation were Tuesday in Sarasota.

Mrs. Helen Given KLUTTS died of heart failure, following an infection at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday afternoon in Lauderdale County Hospital. She had observed her 70th birthday Thursday of last week. She was born October 24th, 1898, the daughter of Millard Fillmore GIVEN and Mrs. Cornelia Honeyman Conner GIVEN. She married Alonza KLUTTS on April 7, 1925. He died April 5, 1937. She leaves her son, William A. KLUTTS; brother, Robert E. GIVEN; sisters Kathleen GIVEN and Mrs. Monroe BELTON, both of Ripley.

Mosco Edward McDEARMAN, 58, Halls Auto dealer, died at 5:05 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, Memphis after long illness. Services were Monday in First Baptist Church in Halls, burial in Halls Cemetery. McDEARMAN was descended from Pioneer Halls families, the town having originally nemed Halls Station for his great grandfather, Hansford HALL. He moved with his parents to Dell, Ark., at an early age. He returned to Halls in 1933. Two years later, he went to Osceola, Ark., to become assistant cashier of Mississippi County Bank. He returned to Halls in 1942, joining Ford Dealers in Halls, then he and his son, T. E. McDEARMAN purchased the firm in 1965. He leaves his wife, Rebekah Avery McDEARMAN; and his brother, Hall McDEARMAN, all of Halls.

Mrs. Pearline THEUS, 35, of Highway 51 S. in Ripley, was killed instantly when struck at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, after she had gotten out of a car and started across the highway towards her home. No charges were placed against the driver of the car, Thomas R. HARGETT, 22, of Route 3, Ripley. Police Chief Bob WHITE said the accident was unavoidable.
