GATES - Edward Beavers, 33, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Maury City Community Church of God in Christ with burial in Strayhorn Cemetery. H. H. Hudson Funeral Home in Dyersburg has charge. He leaves his mother, Sally Bradford of Gates, and two brothers, Wayne Beavers of Little Rock and Tarus Brown of Clarksville.

HALLS - Avies B. Gause, 78, homemaker, died of heart failure Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley. RIPLEY - Archie Lee McKinnis, 60, retired painter, died of cardiac arrest Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Ripley. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church here, where he played guitar and sang in the choir, with burial in Strayhorn Cemetery in Gates. Currie's Funeral Home in Henning has charge. Mr. McKinnis leaves a daughter, Patricia Brown of Halls; his parents, O. C. McKinnis and Magnolia York McKinnis of Ripley; six sisters, Charlene Tyus, Mary Elizabeth Barnes, Mary Manns and Ester Harris, all of Ripley, and Hattie Rays and Mary Frances Rays, both of Percy, Miss., 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was an usher president at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church in Ripley for 30 years. Mrs. McKinnis, the widow of Otis 'O. C.' McKinnis, leaves four daughters, Mary Elizabeth Barnes, Charlene Tyus, Mary Laverne Mann and Ester Lene Harris, all of Ripley, 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

RIPLEY - Otis 'O. C.' McKinnis, 94, farmer, died of cardiac arrest Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale. Services will be at noon Saturday at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Gates with burial in Strayhorn Cemetery there. Currie's Funeral Home in Henning has charge. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church-Lightfoot where he was a deacon, choir member, trustee and founder and soloist of the Heaven Bound singers. Mr. McKinnis, the husband of Magnolia York McKinnis, also leaves four daughters, Mary Barnes, Charlene Tyus, Mary Manns and Esther Harris, all of Ripley; a grandson he raised, Otis McKinnis of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a friend who cared for him, Florence Winters of Ripley, 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

C. and Magnolia McKinnis of Ripley.
