Miss Laura Ethel Northcott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Northcott, died Feb. 1, 1924 near Whitefield. At age 13 she joined the M. E. Church, South at Whitefield of which she was a true member until death…She was secretary and treasurer of her Sunday school. She leaves to mourn her departure a father and mother, two brothers, three sisters and a host of relatives and friends. The funeral services were held the following day at Mary’s Chapel by her pastor, Rev. S. R. Hart. The church was filled to overflowing with friends and loved ones who came to pay a last tribute of respect. A FRIEND |
