Mrs. Alice May Newman, 83, of Halls, died Saturday in Dyersburg Methodist Hospital. Services were at 3 p.m. Monday in Halls Funeral Home, with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. She was a member of the Halls First Assembly of God Church.

She was the widow of Monroe Newman. She leaves four sons, John Newman, of Alamo, James Newman.
