Cecil Mitchell, 84, retired welder, died Monday at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Halls Funeral Home with burial in Greenhill Memorial Gardens in Halls. He was an Army veteran and a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis.

Mr. Mitchell, the husband of Dorothy Nell Mitchell, also leaves a daughter, Linda McKee of Halls; two stepsons, Darrell Riddick of Gates and Kerry Riddick of Dyersburg; a sister, Eva McDonald of Dyersburg, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
