Dixie B. Herron, 96, homemaker, died of heart failure Tuesday at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare-Dyersburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Halls Funeral Home with burial in Greenhill Cemetery. She was a member of Gates Church of Christ.

Mrs. Herron, the widow of George G. Herron, leaves two daughters, Ruby Sanders of Halls and Carrie C. Owens of Ripley; two sisters, Louise Buckner of Halls and Dorothy Robinson of Memphis, eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
