Coy L. Hastings, 96, retired farmer, died Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale after a short illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Halls Funeral Home with burial in Greenhill Memorial Gardens. He was a member of Antioch Church of Christ.

Mr. Hastings, the widower of Nina Martin Hastings, leaves three daughters, Louise Erwin and Bertha Thumb, both of Halls, and Martha White of Gates; a son, Thomas Hastings of Halls, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and tw o great-great-grandchildren.
