Clarice Butler Essary, 96, homemaker, died Tuesday night of heart failure at Wesley of Dyersburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at J. W. Curry & Son Funeral Home with burial in Greenhill Memorial Gardens near Halls. She was a member of Phillips Street Church of Christ.

Mrs. Essary, the widow of B. M. Butler and John Essary, leaves three daughters, Nevada Terry and Rebecca Keith, both of Trenton, and Audrey Hastings of Halls; two sons, George Butler of Piedmont, Mo., and Johnny Butler of Dyersburg, 34 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
