Mrs. M. D. Coffman died of congestion at her home near Gates last Saturday and was buried at Concord Sunday. She leaves her husband and 7 children--one an infant only a few hours old. She was the sister of J. Monroe Garrett of Ripley who attended the burial with his wife. Little Mary and little Austin Coffman returned home with them.
