Margaret Ann Emerson,b. 1807, SC)and William b. 1820, TN. By 1830

moved ca. 1837 to MS, then to TX ca. 1852. Father of Thomas and

Interested in locating info on parents of Marcella Brandon, b
1828 in TN, m Elijah D. Carney in Stewart Co., TN in 1847, and
died in that county in 1858. My family said her name was Green,
but the TN archives says the marriage listing uses Brandon.
Examining Brandons avail. to be her father, there was a
Christopher Brandon married to a Polly Skinner who is a candidate;
no other Brandon is in 1830 Census. It lists a daughter in the
inventory of children, of an age "less than 5" (so fits my need).

I'm a newbie here! Can anyone help me find out more about the
fabled "fued" that took place between the Conways and the Capshaws

there a trial. If there was a trial, where would one find the

come in a look at the books". Difficult for me to do from Florida.

Joshua CAMPBELL moved from Greene County, TN shortly after
marrying Sarah KERBAUGH IN May 23, 1853. Sarah was the daughter of
John KERBAUGH of Greene Co. John had married Betsey (Elizabeth?)
Wampler in 1821. John was born in 1785 in TN or VA but shows up on
the tax rolls in Greene Co in 1805. John had several brothers
and/or children who are listed in the 1830 census. It is hard to
disentangle who might be who and the 1850 census sheds little
light. The above named Sarah was born in 1834 and is consistently
listed in subsequent censuses as such. Betsey (Elizabeth?) was
born in 1802 and possibly was the daughter of Michael WAMPLER who
was born c1765. Again there are many WAMPLERS in the area all of
whom are probably related but it is difficult to determine who is
who. My subject Joshua CAMPBELL is hard to trace. The 1850 census
shows only two Joshuas in TN and only one in Greene Co. He was
living with Jackson CAMPBELL who may have been his brother but was
far too young to be his father. Any help with Joshua or in
untangling the WAMPLERS and KERBAUGH as well as any information on
their forebearers would be appreciated.

SISCO
1820: John Sisco Sr., John Sisco Jr., Issac Sisco, Job Sisco,
Jacob Sisco, Sanders Sisco. Looking for marriages, Land Records,
Wills, Residence. Sanders, Issac, John Jr., Job, Jacob may be the
sons of John Sr. John Sr. shows up in N.C. in the 1887 veterns
census. A John the right ages later shows up in TN. Any
information leading me to a connect of these people would be
helpful.
1830: By this time my family is well established in Jackson
County. A Sanders, William and Jaiole show up in the 1830 census.
Jaiole is a mystery. He shows up here, but disappears by 1840. I
believe Jaiole could be Sanders son John of 1840. William appears
to be a son of Sanders, also. This is where my delimna starts.
Both Jaiole and Sanders have sons in the age bracket of my Gr. GR.
Grandfather Jacob. If anyone had evidence one way or the other I
would sure appreciate it.
1840: We'er everywhere! Jackson Co. census lists 2 Issacs, James,
4 Johns,Sanders and W (William?) Sisco. Any Marriages, Land
Records, Wills, or Residence data would be appreciated.
1850: My Gr.Gr. Grandfather Jacob Sisco is married to Sarah
Elizabeth Shrum circa 1848. Their first child is a girl Lucinda
Jane Sisco circa 1849. I would really love to find a marriage
contract. Most, if not all, Sisco's living Jackson County are
related.
1860: My Gr.GR. Grandfather Jacob has moved to Missouri and is
either back on his way back. I cannot find him in any census
records to date. He has two sons born in Missouri John S. Sisco
and My Gr. Grandfather William Henry Sisco. Sanders Sr. is still
alive at 87 (if the census dates are correct). Some of the family
my be in the area of Macon County and Clay County. Jackson MCD's
2, 4, 13.If anyone has any information about the whereabouts of
Jacob this information would be invaluable.
1870: Jackson Co. Jacob dies about 1874. I would really like some
information about this.
1880: My Gr. Grandfather William Henry Sisco marries Mary
Elizabeth Kirby in Jackson Co. on August 29, 1880. I have a
certified copy of the marriage license. However, they appear to
move to Macon Co. their first born is a son Charley Curtis Sisco.
He was born in Willette, TN. on June 1, 1881. Two daughters were
born in Willette and one daughter in Lafayette before they move to
Arkansas just before the turn of the century. Mother Mary
Elizabeth, according to a family bible sheet was born in
Lafayette, Tn on Nov. 18, 1860. Also, by this time several of
Williams brothers and sisters have left Tennessee for Missouri or
Arkansas and cousins have moved to Kentucky.
