I am seeking info on GEORGE LAFAYETTE SANDERS b. 2/19/1856, and wife MIRANDA HARRISON SANDERS b 8/8/1857. I know they lived in the Chattanooga area. Miranda died there 7/26/21 and George died 3/3/33. I believe George owned a dairy farm. Both are buried in Redbank Cemetary. Their children were Morris, Roy, Sally, Ada and Edward. Tho I am certain they lived in the area at the time, I cannot find them on a census. The last time I found George was at the age of 14 with his parents Andrew J. and Judy Margaret. I am a grandaughter thru Roy and his marriage to FLORA COUCH. Flora had an older daughter, a MARTIN, and with Roy a daughter Ada Leona. Any information you are willing to share will be greatly appreciated. Who were Miranda's parents? I believe she was born in Tenn. All I know is J.M. Harrison. I will gladly share my info to the present. I live in the Seattle area and cannot often get to Chatta to look for records I think may be plentiful. I am new to genealogy research! and will appreciate any tips! Thanks for your help.

I am seeking information about J.E. BIGGS, married to Mary Jane BIGGS, or anyone who might be a part of this family. My g-grandmother, their daughter, Alverdia BIGGS, was born 6 September 1881, in Chattanooga, TN. All I know about this branch of the family is that my grandmother told me he (J.E. BIGGS) fought in the Battle of Chattanooga. They later moved to AR. Mary Jane apparently died at an early age, leaving J.E. BIGGS to try to raise the family. I believe he ended up leaving his children with another relative. My g-grandmother Alverdia married John Steven LEE in Logan or Yell Co. AR. They moved their family to McAlester, OK in 1916.

Clarence Edwin SMITH died in Hagerstown, Maryland and was buried in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He was born around 1872 - way around. He was married 4 times. Marie GLEASON, Ann ??, and a Corrin ?? twice. He had at least 2 children. Clarence Edwin SMITH, Jr. and Margaret Viola SMITH both by Marie. He has some connection with Chattanooga or he would not have been buried there.

I'll take all guesses and suggestions. I'm from Maryland and will be in Macon GA for about two months - April and May - and can visit Chatanooga on weekends during that time. How would my time best be spent? Be nice.
