The city of Friendship is holding a municipal election with two tickets in the field and both parties are claiming victory by large majorities ranging from 10 1-2 to 33 1-3 votes and results is eagerly by the entire city.
The tickets are:

Aldermen: W. E. WRAY, E. L. EVANS, C. H. SCALES, J. L. STALLINGS
City Magistrate: J. F. PARK
Mayor: F. S. MOORE
Aldermen: L. E. SANDERS, B. F. SUDBURY, A. M. ODLE, Roy COFFMAN
City Magistrate: John CARMAN
Notice is hereby given that Roy T. COFFMAN and Victor P. GROUNDS have dissolved partnership in the drug business, namely the Friendship Pharmacy, Roy T. COFFMAN assuming all indebtedness of the firm.
Mr. Lawrence WEBBER, the blind piano tuner, was in the city this week.
Dr. W. M. THOMPSON, our popular veterinary, has been vaccinating hogs as preventative from cholera and reports that nearly every owner of hogs will take this precaution.
C. B. SIEBER of Jackson and C. S. MOORE of De Quincy, La., were guests of Floyd CHANDLER Saturday night and Sunday.
Joe Henry GREEN of Tigrett fell from a lead of hay Tuesday and stuck a pitchfork in his back. He is reported in a very serious condition.
G. M. CATES of Memphis was in the city this week.
R. R. NASH of near Bonicord was in town Saturday and paid this office a visit.
Mr. & Mrs. Stowie DAWSON of Dyersburg were visitors here Sunday.
E. A. ROBERTSON and wife, J. P. HARWELL and Geo. LEGGETT attended the funeral of Esq. WEAKLEY in Dyersburg Monday.
Grounds & Son, gents furnishers, have sold to G. T. and M. V. SMITH but the stock will not be invoiced for a few weeks yet.
President I. B. TIGRETT of B.&N.W., proposes to haul gravel from Jackson to Friendship free of charge if the citizens will gravel Depot Street.
George T. WEAKLEY one of Dyer county's most prominent citizens, died Saturday of apoplexy while engaged in duties about his farm. He was 57 years old, a Methodist and a Mason.
Roy T. COFFMAN has purchased the half interest of V. P. GROUNDS in the Friendship Pharmacy and is now sole proprietor.
Miss Altie HALL has returned from Memphis.
Hammie SCOTT of Halls was here this week.
Mrs. I. D. PARK returned from Memphis this week accompanied by her brother, Fritz TAYLOR.
Mrs. M. E. O'NEIL and little daughters of Maury City are guests of Esq. and Mrs. J. F. PARK.
Mrs. J. W. SUDBURY and little son, Roy, returned Monday from a visit to relatives in Alamo.
J. F. AGEE paid this office a pleasant visit Monday.
