Miss Ruth GRIFFIN has returned from Hornbeak, accompanied by her sister, Miss Myra.

Ollie KELLEY of Alamo was a visitor Monday.

Dr. J. L. POWELL has purchased a new Ford car.

Gord CHAMBERS of Dyersburg and Willie BROTHERS of Bonicord were here Sunday.

W. F. SANDERS of Sanders was in town last week.

Mrs. Frank ANDERSON and Mrs. M. O. GRINNETT were in Dyersburg shopping Saturday.

Ramey YORK of Dyersburg were here Sunday.

Editor NUNN of the Bells Sentel was here Saturday.

Paul SIMS of the Henry Progress visited his parents, Dr. and Mrs. J. P. SIMS, last week.

W. H. SUDBURY, wife and mother visited relatives in Alamo Tuesday.

Aubrey HARWELL of Parkin, Ark. is a visitor in the city.

Bud STALLINGS lives just below the new Central Police Station and when Uncle Bud gets to cutting up it won't be much trouble to carry him on home.

Mrs. Kate SANDERS was the guest of Mrs. Rachel STRANGE.

Dr. J. P. SIMS was in Alamo Tuesday.

Ned YORK went to Dyersburg Wednesday.

Tommie WALKER and family of near Bonicord visited relatives here Sunday.

Mr. Steel BOOTH of Maury City was here Tuesday on business.

L. B. HARWELL was in Alamo Tuesday.

G. T. Smith visited in Humboldt last week.

Jim FEWELL of Crockett Mills was here Monday.

Bedford HOPKINS, a prominent young man of the Sanders vicinity died Monday in Memphis where he went to have an operation performed. Mr. HOPKINS was kicked by a horse several days ago and the wounds resulted in his death. The remains were brought home Tuesday for burial.

The little three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter McCANLESS died Tuesday.

Howell Bros., the new grocerymen on Depot Street, have sold their entire stock to H. D. HOWELL, the Main Street grocery and restaurant man. The store was opened only a short time ago and was in charge of E. H. HOWELL who has accepted a position with the International Harvester Co.

NEWS FROM AROUND SANDERS TOWN

Urel WARREN went to Trenton last week and brought back a new buggy. Look out girls.

Harrison HENDRIX, Graydon SANDERS and Alex VERNON have gone to Memphis on business.

Bedford HOPKINS, who was kicked by a horse recently, went to Memphis to be operated on. The last news we had the doctors said they hadn't operated on him yet and might not perform the operation at all.

W. F. SANDERS made a business trip to Dyersburg Friday.

Charlie ROSS of Newbern is visiting his brother, Other ROSS.

Annie Lou SANDERS spent Sunday night with Nannie B. and Myrtle HOPKINS.

Misses Jennie and Gracie VERNON of Elizabeth passed through our burg enroute to Cairo Monday.

Mrs. Elmer HAY who has been ill for quite a while is no better.

Miss Winnie Pearl GRIFFIN spent Saturday night with Ester TAYLOR, also Sunday with Louise DUNAGAN.

Mrs. Kate SANDERS was the guest of Mrs. Rachel STRANGE Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Mortimer HARRIS of Tigrett sang at Bethesda Sunday afternoon.
